South Korean firm, Vietnamesehousing developer ink deal   2008-12-20 - ThanhNien

South Korean architect firm Gansam Partners has struck a deal with local housing developer Incomex Saigon Group in a bid to take advantage of the relatively faster growth of the Vietnamese real estate market.

Under the agreement signed Friday, the two companies will collaborate to offer architecture services to clients and set up a joint venture next year.

Kevin Kim, the Korean group’s International Division director, said Vietnam’s real estate market has recently grown faster than other countries and the group was already involved in the market with more than 15 projects in designing and formulating masterplans over the past three years.

“We want to get further involved in the market, so we are signing this deal with the developer who is experienced in the local real estate market,” said Kim.

Nguyen Kim Lan, Incomex Saigon’s chairman, said Korean designs and masterplans were appreciated by Vietnamese property developers and the deal would give his company the opportunity to learn from the skills and experiences of the Korean partner.

Gansam Partners also signed a deal to offer architecture services to HCMCbased Khang Thong Company which is developing a high-class housing project in an area of 42,000 square meters of District 7, HCMC. The two-block project worth VND800 billion (US$45 million) will have 200 apartments.
